Ahmad Ajab believes Kuwait's first two matches contributed to their poor performance against Qatar.
Kuwait striker Admad Ajab believes his side's performance against China and Uzbekistan contributed to their poor showing against Qatar in the Asian Cup.
The Gulf Cup champions crashed out of the tournament without a point, and Ajab is now hoping the team will learn from this experience for the future.
"We apologise to our fans for our performance against Qatar," Ajab declared to The-AFC.com." We were probably affected by the results of our first two matches particularly the first game against China which we should have won.
"We had a good game against Uzbekistan and we missed a lot of chances.
"However, despite losing our first two matches, our fans were satisfied. But our performance against Qatar was not like the first two matches as losing the six points affected us.
"We learn from each match that we play though and our players are young, so hopefully the experience that we gained from the tournament will help us all to do better in the future," he concluded.
