Buffon once more thanks the fans for their support, as the keeper kept a clean sheet on his return in the Coppa Italia.
Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon thanked the Bianconeri fans after making his long awaited comeback from injury in the Coppa Italia victory over Catania yesterday evening.

The Italian international thanked the Old Lady faithful for all their support during his difficult time off the pitch and said he hopes he repaid them a little by keeping a clean sheet in the 2-0 win.

"It was nice to get back on the pitch. You may think that for a footballer who won the World Cup and played in the final of the UEFA Champions League, a cup game in Italy would not mean much but I am really pleased with our performance," Buffon told Football Italia.

"I am fully recovered and I want to wholeheartedly thank the fans, they have given me unbelievable support," Buffon commented.

Juventus somewhat cruised to victory in the end to reach the quarter-finals of the competition thanks to goals from Milos Krasic and Simone Pepe.
