Inter Sign Giampaolo Pazzini From Sampdoria On Four-And-A-Half Year Contract

Pazzini has joined Inter from Samp, it's being reported in Italy.
Inter are set to sign Giampaolo Pazzini for €12 million plus striker Jonathan Biabiany and youth team player Luca Caldirola, who will join Sampdoria in June.

Sky Sport Italia reports the Sampdoria star's arrival will be officially announced on Friday after he undergoes a medical. He will then sign a four-and-a-half year contract until June 2015.

The reports comes just minutes after Sampdoria sporting director Doriano Tosi dismissed claims that a deal was in place with Inter.

The two clubs have come to an agreement after negotiations over the last few days and earlier on Thursday Blucerchiati president Riccardo Garrone hinted that the player could indeed leave the club by the end of the winter transfer window.

Representatives of the player, Davide Torchia and Tullio Tinti, arrived in Milan to secure the deal in the morning.

The 26-year-old will be the second big name to leave the Luigi Ferraris this winter following Antonio Cassano's exit to Milan. As replacements, the Genoa-based outfit have snapped up Massimo Maccarone and Federico Macheda.

Inter have been searching for a striker due to a lack of depth in the position, as Diego Milito has been hit by several injuries this term.

Pazzini has excelled since his move to Sampdoria in January 2009, scoring 36 goals in 75 appearances.
