Valencia striker Aritz Aduriz has been reflecting on his 89th minute winner that put Malaga to the sword on Saturday evening.

The ex-Mallorca front man struck to hand Los Che their fifth consecutive league win and solidify their top four position in what was a thrilling contest.

Speaking to AS about the feeling of netting such a vital goal, he commented: “The goals that give you points are always the best, and if it comes in the final minutes, the joy flows over you more.

“Personally, I think that I can improve every day and that I can still do more for the team.”

The 29-year-old also added however that the team needs to improve their overall performance to ensure that they manage to win matches in a more convincing fashion.

He stated: “We have a week to improve everything bad that we did on Saturday, for the three points do not hide that we made mistakes, but it is always best to try to improve when the results are on your side.”
