Manchester United To Make Another Move For Aston Villa's Ashley Young In Summer

Manchester United are reportedly planning to make a fresh attempt to sign Ashley Young from Aston Villa during the summer.

The Red Devils' boss Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that he failed to land an unspecified player in January, but hoped to sign his man in the summer.

Now The Mirror reports that the Villa player was one United were unable to sign during the winter transfer window, and it is now believed that Ferguson will return with an offer for the England international once the curtain comes down on the current season.

Young scored his country's second in Wednesday's international friendly against Denmark, resulting in a 2-1 victory for the Three Lions, and Villa boss Gerard Houllier has also admitted that clubs are "sniffing around" for his prized asset.

The former Watford star, 25, is currently placed 358th in the Castrol Rankings, up from 416th a month earlier.
