Mihajlovic wants to carry on with Fiorentina.
Sinisa Mihajlovic has mapped out his Fiorentina future, and concluded that he wants to remain for the long haul.
Speaking to the press ahead of tomorrow's clash at Palermo, Mihajlovic was eager to water-down a series of reports claiming his job was on the line.
"I know people want to be in my place, and this makes me happy and I am proud to coach Fiorentina," Mihajlovic said.
"I want to remain for a long time, but I also know we need results.
"I know there are people waiting to take my place, I have been in football 20 years and I know how things work," he said referring to reports claiming former Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini was on standby.
Viola director Pantaleo Corvino bought out the plasters during the week insisting Mihajlovic would not be cut loose - a vote of confidence, but one that was not needed.
"Having all this was nice, but there was no need," added the coach.
"I knew it already. I am not worried, I think about the present."
