Almeria Draw Not The End Of Our League Hopes - Real Madrid Playmaker Kaka

Real Madrid midfielder Kaka feels that the 1-1 draw with Almeria does not represent the end of their Primera Division chances.
Real Madrid creator Kaka has reflected on Sunday’s ‘painful’ 1-1 draw with Almeria, but feels that the dropped points do not spell the end for his side’s title aspirations.

The Brazilian played 55 minutes as part of his comeback from knee surgery, but could not play a significant role in the match, and in the end substitute Esteban Granero had to salvage a draw with a stunning strike.

The former Milan midfielder reckons that the result is in no way definitive in the race for the Primera Division crown, saying: “Now, we cannot afford to lose another game, but we have just finished the first round and there is still much of the championship ahead.

“We also have to play at home to Barcelona, and although this result is painful, I do not think that it is final. We still have a chance of overcoming their advantage.”

Kaka also discussed how he is progressing as he comes back from almost seven months out, saying: “I am slowly gathering pace and I feel better. I have participated in some nice moves, but Almeria have had a great game and put in great effort.”
