Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery expected to be back in action within two weeks.
Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery travelled to seek further medical advice today, using crutches, after sustaining a knee injury in yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Wolfsburg as the Bundesliga returned to action.

The French international was involved in a challenge with Josue after 18 minutes of the clash, and to be appeared in some pain after falling to the ground clutching his knee.

The former Marseille winger, who has been dogged by fitness problems for much of the season, will now visit a specialist to assess the full extent of the damage.

Speaking to publication Bild, Ribery was frustrated but also emotional as he looks set to miss more first team action for Die Roten.

“It is not normal what has happened to me," he bemoaned. "Yet another injury. But we have hope that it is not too bad. I now need to check it, I have pain in my left knee, and last night I slept badly.”
