Didier Drobga Relieved To See Chelsea Secure A Valuable Win Over Blackburn

Striker admits confidence has been low at Stamford Bridge.
Didier Drogba has spoken of his "big relief" after Chelsea earned a valuable three points over Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League.

Branislav Ivanovic and Nicolas Anelka both scored in the second half to secure an important 2-0 victory against Blackburn.

Drogba admits that the Blues were glad to win after struggling to pick up points at home in recent games.

"Yeah it’s a big relief, its become difficult to win at Stamford Bridge. It's two months now so it’s a big relief,” he told Sky Sports.

Chelsea have fallen behind in the title race with some critics even suggesting that the Blues have blown their chances of retaining the Premier League trophy and the striker has revealed that he has been surprised by his side's recent dip in form.

“It's difficult you know, nobody expected that to happen but it can happen to any team," he explained.

"Just because we are Chelsea it doesn’t mean that nothing can happen to us, and of course it was good to win today and to win the last game in the FA Cup gave us a little bit more confidence for the next games.”
