Adebayor successfully passes medical examination at Real Madrid ahead of loan switch from Manchester City.
Real Madrid’s new addition Emmanuel Adebayor has successfully completed his medical at the club ahead of his loan move from Manchester City.
The Togolese striker was not allowed to make an official statement to the waiting media, but appeared jovial before undergoing an extensive examination by los Blancos’ medical staff.
The medical team confirmed to the club’s official website that the 26-year-old had passed the stringent tests.
Carlos Diez, chief of Medical Services at Real Madrid, said of Adebayor, “He is in very good physical condition, and he will be able to work with the team immediately.
“All the tests that we have done were perfect. He is in optimal condition to start working with the team. He is a physical marvel, and has the fitness to be available to the coaching staff."
Adebayor joins the Spanish giants until the end of the season, with Madrid holding the option to make the deal permanent in the summer for a fee of €18 million.
