Juventus widen their striker search to compensate for Luca Toni's injury.
Juventus are close to reaching a deal for Udinese striker Antonio Floro Flores as problems up front continue.

Amauri's revelation he would be prepared to return to Palermo coupled with Luca Toni's Coppa Italia injury have seen the club scramble back onto the January transfer market.

Both Il Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport report Floro Flores, 27, will arrive in Turin after the two clubs reached an agreement for a loan with the option to buy fixed at €10 million.

Floro Flores has not featured much for Udinese this season, but with strikers falling to injury on almost a daily basis at Juve, he will be hoping to find the space.

Just some minor details need to be polished up before the deal goes through. Should it fail to take flight, Bianconeri general director Giuseppe Marotta has a back-up plan in Luis Fabiano.

The Sevilla striker is looking to conclude his career at a big club and would be unlikely to turn down a Juventus offer. Diego Forlan of Atletico Madrid also remains a proxy, but the cost of this operation would likely see Juve pull out.
