According to the father of Sao Paulo starlet Lucas Piazon, Juventus are close to landing the 17-year-old.
Sao Paulo's 17-year-old wonderkid Lucas Piazon is reportedly on the verge of agreeing a deal with Italian giants Juventus, with the club expected to seal a deal for the youngster in the coming days.
Lance reports that the attacker, dubbed the 'New Kaka' in his home nation, has been in Turin since Monday training with the first team and getting to know the institution.
Furthermore, the player's father affirmed that Sao Paulo had already received an offer for Piazon and a deal could be agreed in the next few days.
"We are here through a formal invitation that was sent to Sao Paulo so my son could get to know the facilities and the city," he told the press.
"We travelled with Sao Paulo's permission to talk, but it is not true that it is a done deal. It is a pre-negotiation," Antonio Carlos explained.
The father also asserted that the Tricolor have received a proposal of €7 million to purchase 80% of Lucas' playing rights, although he neglected to mention if the Brazilians found this figure acceptable.
Lucas is yet to make his mark on the first team in the Morumbi, but is well known through his goalscoring exploits at youth level for club and country; most notably in the 2009 South American Under 15 Championships, where he finished top scorer with 10 goals.
Comfortable as an attacking midfielder or forward, the youngster would leave Sao Paulo on his 18th birthday due to local regulations, and the transfer would be further smoothed by his possession of a EU passport through ancestry.
