Juventus Striker Alessandro Del Piero: We Can Overcome Our Difficulties

Del Piero is certain that he and his team-mates can get back on track.
Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero believes the club's enthusiasm can carry them past their current difficulties.

The Bianconeri have fallen to two consecutive defeats to Parma and Napoli, damaging their chances of winning Serie A this term.

"We are a very different team than last year, that's why predictions are so difficult, to say whether or not we are the anti-Milan," Del Piero told Guerin Sportivo.

"First, there is so much enthusiasm. Second, there are many difficulties. But the first thing helps to overcome the second."

Meanwhile, the 36-year-old explained to the press what it means to him to play for Juventus.

"It is a fantastic story, that has a great tradition and is unique. It's a story of a family, the Agnelli family, that guide us from the 1920s. It's the most successful club in Italian football, with stars such as [Michel] Platini, [Omar] Sivori, and [Giampiero] Boniperti.

"To answer in two words Juve means winning and tradition," concluded the 2006 World Cup winner.
