Sampdoria Suffer Injuries To Stefano Lucchini, Giampaolo Pazzini, Nicola Pozzi And Massimo Volta Against Juventus

Sampdoria's battling draw against the Old Lady came at a cost, with setbacks to four players.
Sampdoria's official website has published a list, or 'a war report', of those injured and battered, after a bruising weekend draw against Juventus earned the Genoa club a league point.

Defender Stefano Lucchini has been left with a fractured facial bone; forward Giampaolo Pazzini took a blow to his left ankle and strike partner Nicola Pozzi suffered a knee injury. Also, Massimo Volta was left with a cut under his eye, the Blucerchiati confirmed.

Lucchini was raced off to hospital after a clsash with Juventus forward Amauri and may require surgery. Nicola Pozzi suffered a tendon strain to his right knee, and all four will be further assessed when the club return to training this morning.

The injuries to the front line will mean coach Dommenico Di Carlo will be heavily reliant on his loan signing from Manchester United, Federico Macheda, in the coming weeks
