Gary Medel and Ivan Rakitic have joined Sevilla.
Sevilla have completed the signings of Universidad Catolica-owned hard man Gary Medel and Schalke midfielder Ivan Rakitic, according to reports in Spain.
Goal.com Spain claims that the Primera Division club will pay Universidad Catolica €3 million for Medel, who has been on loan at Boca Juniors since 2009. The Chile international has reportedly already passed a medical and will remain in Andalucia for four seasons.
Rakitic is also expected to sign a deal imminently that is expected to stretch until 2014 and it's been reported that Sevilla will pay Schalke €1.5m for his services.
