Wolfsburg have reportedly secured the services of Kaiserslautern attacker Srdjan Lakic on a Bosman move.
According to a report in Bild, ambitious Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg have completed the signing of Croatian attacker Srdjan Lakic from Kaiserslautern on a free transfer. The striker has reportedly signed a contract until the summer of 2015 with his new club and will join the Woelfe at the end of the 2010-11 campaign.

Wolfsburg were looking for attacking reinforcements because of the departure of Edin Dzeko to Manchester City earlier this month and head coach Steve McClaren sees the 27-year-old Lakic as the perfect replacement.

The German outfit initially wanted to add Lakic to their squad in the January transfer window, but the Woelfe are reluctant to meet Kaiserslautern's valuation of the striker. Therefore, they'll sign Lakic on a free transfer at the end of his contract instead.

McClaren still wants to add another attacker to his squad this winter to fill the gap until Lakic arrives at the club in the summer and Monaco forward Diemerci Mbokani is believed to be the primary candidate to join Wolfsburg.

The DR Congo international is unhappy with his current situation at the Ligue 1 side and could sign a six-month loan deal with Wolfsburg.
