Wolfsburg have reportedly turned their attention to Kaisersluatern attacker Srdjan Lakic.
Croatian attacker Srdjan Lakic could be on his way out of Bundesliga side Kaiserslautern as fellow German outfit Wolfsburg have shown an interest in signing the striker, according to a report in Bild.

The Woelfe are eager to add a new attacker to their squad because of the departure of Edin Dzeko to Manchester City.

Wolfsburg had initially set their sights on Freiburg star Papiss Cisse, but they are reluctant to meet Freiburg's €18 million asking price for the Senegal international. Therefore, they've now reportedly turned their attention to the 27-year-old Lakic.

The attacker has been 1FCK's absolute star player this term and has already scored 11 goals in 17 Bundesliga appearances this term. Lakic's current contract expires at the end of the season and the forward is eager to move to a bigger club.

Wolfsburg sporting director Dieter Hoeness has reportedly already approached Lakic to discuss a possible transfer and the deal could be completed in the upcoming days if both clubs manage to reach an agreement.

Lakic has climbed to 917th position in the Castrol Rankings following his performances for Kaisersluatern in the first half of the season.
