Taye Taiwo has confirmed that he won't sign a contract extension with Olympique de Marseille.
Nigeria international Taye Taiwo has confirmed that he will leave Ligue 1 champions Olympique de Marseille on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The highly rated full-back has an expiring contract with OM and has decided not to sign a new deal with the French giants. Taiwo added that he's already in advance talks with an unnamed club from one of Europe's top three leagues.

"I have made the decision not to sign a contract extension. I want to change clubs in June," the 25-year-old Taiwo was quoted as saying by The Nation.

"My agent and I are in advanced talks with a club from one of Europe's top three leagues and I expect to reach an agreement in the near future."

Taiwo joined Marseille from Lobi Stars in January 2005 and has since made well over 200 official appearances for Les Phoceens.
