Osasuna have confirmed via their official website that the club has signed midfielder Alvaro Cejudo from second division side UD Las Palmas.

The midfielder put pen to paper on a contract which is set to expire in June 2013, for an undisclosed fee.

Los Rojillos president Patxi Izco was delighted to present the 26-year-old as the second signing for the team during this winter transfer window, after Coro moved to the club on loan.

During the medical examination, it was discovered the midfielder was carrying a leg complaint, and will be out of action for up to a month, but Izco waved away any such concerns.

"I wish to welcome Alvaro Cejudo to the side, as he joins us from Union Deportiva Las Palmas," the president said in a statement. "I wish him a speedy recovery from his injury and hope he can become a big-name player in Pamplona."

Sporting director Patxi Cipriain confirmed the side knew about the injury Cejudo was carrying.
