Mallorca coach Michael Laudrup believes his side could have salvaged something from their clash with Atletico Madrid had Pierre Webo converted a penalty.

The Cameroonian striker failed to capitalise on his chance with 20 minutes to go in the match, and Los Bermellones eventually lost the game 3-0.

"I think that had we scored from the penalty, we would have gone on to level the match," Landrup affirmed to Marca post-match. "It is a pity to lose this match because I felt we played well.

"I'm very happy with the team. Atletico played us into a corner but we reacted well to get out of it in the second-half. I have nothing to reporach my players about.

Mallorca remain in mid-table on 27 points, with Atletico jumping into sixth place, three points ahead.
