Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero out for two weeks, and will miss Copa del Rey tie with Real Madrid.
Atletico Madrid have been dealt a massive blow with the news that Sergio Aguero has been ruled out for two weeks, and will miss the Copa del Rey second leg clash with Real Madrid in midweek.

The Argentine underwent an MRI scan on a leg injury which revealed a crack in the fibula in his left leg, and he will be required to sit out a minimum of two weeks to allow the injury to heal.

Aguero will undergo further assessment on the injury in order to give a more accurate rehabilitation period, and so will also miss the league matches against Mallorca on Monday night, and also against Sporting next weekend.

The 22-year-old has became an essential part of the Atletico Madrid side this season, scoring 14 goals in all competitions, and has recently signed a new deal to extend his stay at the Vicente Calderon.

Atleti must now attempt to reverse a 3-1 scoreline from the first leg against their city rivals in midweek without the presence of their key attacker.
