Juventus Coach Luigi Del Neri Hails Important Coppa Italia Victory Over Catania

Luigi Del Neri spoke of Juventus' 2-0 win against Catania, and was most pleased to see Gianluigi Buffon return to the first-team.
Juventus Luigi Del Neri has praised the side's performance against Catania in the Coppa Italia Round of 16, winning 2-0 with goals by Milos Krasic and Simone Pepe.

The victory, Del Neri says, will give the team the right attitude going forward over the next few weeks.

"The team were strong in defense, and this is a very positive sign for us," Del Neri stated to the club's official website after the match. "It is a win that gives us confidence over the next few weeks.

"We were attentive of our opponents, and it was a joy to see the team play so well."

The former Sampdoria boss also expressed his delight at seeing the return of goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon to the line-up.

"He did not have a lot to do, but he did make a wonderful save in the second-half, and I think he may be ready to return to the first-team," said the coach. "I have two wonderful 'keepers and I will choose whoever I feel is right to play."
