Luciano Moggi believes Juventus are making all the wrong moves on transfers.
Luciano Moggi believes Juventus flopped on the transfer market by letting Antonio Cassano slip through their fingers as he joined Milan.
Speaking to Radio Power Station, Moggi said Juventus chiefs should have done more to sign the former Sampdoria man.
"I would have tried for sure, but in life there are people who don't want to risk and so they prefer not to manage things," Moggi said.
"I am one of those who likes to manage and so I would have risked [signing Cassano]."
The Bianconeri did land Luca Toni, but he suffered instant injury and will be out for a month. The club also missed out on signing Antonio Floro Flores, who left Udinese for Genoa.
Moggi insists Juve's market is looking fragmented.
"You have to look at immediate needs. Juventus had no strikers and they had to provide, but these players are not for the future. Floro Flores? He was a reserve at Udinese..." added the former chief.
Reports suggested Moggi could return to Juventus in a director's role once his ban from Calciopoli expires in June. But, the candle is not flickering just yet.
"Lets leave alone the voices and think about now. After we will see. In life you can never say never," he said.
And Moggi insists Juventus never did anything wrong during the Calciopoli scandal in 2006 as the current trial in Naples continues.
"The proceedings confirm what I always said, there were other clubs that did things Juventus didn't. We gave shirts to people, others gave cashmere jumpers. In any case, they never committed an offence, but neither did we," concluded Moggi.
