Mallorca defender Jose Nunes believes team should be able to ignore uncertainty over the futures of several first team players.
Mallorca defender Jose Nunes has claimed that the current uncertainty regarding the futures of a number of first team stars should not affect the performances of the team on the pitch.

The Portuguese stopper produced a sterling display against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu last weekend, and was unfortunate to end up on the losing side.

The 33-year-old has been with the Balearic club since 2006, and speaking to the media yesterday, he stressed that he has witnessed years up upheaval and the players have never allowed off-field matters to affect their match preparation.

He commented: “We have grown accustomed to living with the ups and downs of football, and the rumours of players moving should not affect the team.

“We are not the only team who goes through these types of situations, it is normal, because some come and some go. They have offers because they are quality players, and I do not like anyone to leave.

“Unconsciously it can affect you, but you must remember that you are not the only team in that situation, and it can affect some teams more than others.”
