Nicola Rigoni Believes His Future Is 'Far Away' From Palermo

Palermo midfielder Nicola Rigoni has confessed he sees his future away from Palermo.
Palermo midfielder Nicola Rigoni has revealed he believes his playing future is away from the Rosanero.

The 20-year-old admits he has matured as a player and a human being, but is no longer wanted by the Sicilian club.

"I think that my future is far away from Palermo," the midfielder told Mediagol.it. "The club has decided in this manner, and I must accept their decision.

"These past few months spent at Palermo have made me mature a lot. I came to an important club, to a team that is considered one of the big teams in the league.

"I must thank the coach who allowed me to be a part of the squad, as well as all my team-mates. I am saddened to leave Palermo, but I have to," he concluded.

Rigoni joined the Rosanero in 2009 but spent last season on loan to Serie B side Vicenza. He then returned to the Sicilian club, and has only made four league appearances this term.
