Magpies boss delighted with battling display.
Notts County manager Paul Ince hailed a “fantastic team performance” as his side battled to a 1-1 draw at home to Manchester City in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The home side took the lead through midfielder Neil Bishop before City striker Edin Dzeko equalised late in the second half.
Speaking to ITV Sport after the game, Ince said: “I’ve never seen the clock go so slow in my life, it was a fantastic team performance,
“I thought we deserved it. We started slow to be fair. Once we got in to them and played at the right tempo we got into it.
“You do get tired, we don’t have their ability but we showed character. It was a great opportunity at our own place, but we deserve another crack.”
Ince was also keen to praise the performance of Magpies' scorer Bishop: “He is a fantastic player. They were all awesome.”
County now face a replay at Eastlands but can take confidence from beating Sunderland away in the last round.
