Wolfsburg starlet Nassim Ben Khalifa has joined Nuernberg on an 18-month loan.
Following Edin Dzeko's departure last week, Nassim Ben Khalifa has become the second forward to leave Wolfsburg this January. The Switzerland international, who celebrated his 19th birthday yesterday, has officially signed an 18-month loan deal with Nuernberg that will see him remain in Bavaria until June 2012.
"Nassim is another young, talented player who wants to make steps forward in his development at der Club. In talks with Nassim, he has shown that he brings the right attitude to strengthen our squad. We are pleased that we have found with Wolfsburg a good loan opportunity for both sides," Nuernberg manager Martin Bader told his club's official website.
Ben Khalifa himself was pleased with the transfer, which he believes will allow him to gain the first team playing experience he needs in order to develop,
"I'm looking forward to playing at FC Nuernberg. My goal is to make the next step after becoming a key player in the Swiss U-21 team. I decided in the summer to continue my development in the Bundesliga. Therefore it's logical for me to remain in the Bundesliga. I will give everything for the Nuernberg cause," he said.
