Italian feels his side would not have deserved to lose to Notts County.
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini was left satisfied after his side grinded out a 1-1 draw away to Notts County in the FA Cup.

Defeat would have been City’s second in as many games but the Italian was adamant that a loss would not have been a just result.

Edin Dzeko struck late on to avert a cup crisis – his first goal since arriving from Wolfsburg – and Mancini was pleased with his performance but still expects there to be a learning curve for the Bosnian.

“It was important that we score with Edin and important for him," he told ITV Sport. "I think he needs more time to understand English football."

He added: "We didn’t deserve to lose and we didn’t deserve to draw. With their first shot they score but this is football.

"I know that it is difficult to play these games. The pitch was hard and impossible to play football, for them it was their game of the year."
