Coach Davide Ballardini praised Genoa for a positive first have performance during the 3-1 victory over Parma.

“We played well in the opening period,” he declared to RaiSport.

“After the break we suffered a little as they started to push more but I was happy with the way my men controlled things.

“The new arrivals are integrating well, and [Antonio] Floro Flores in particular gave a good showing this afternoon.

“I am very much looking forward to the closure of the transfer market on Monday.

“With the window closed it becomes much easier to go about your work as a coach without having to constantly respond to questions over the future of certain players.”
