Roma's Adriano will miss the next four weeks after having surgery to repair a dislocated shoulder.
Roma striker Adriano underwent surgery after dislocating his shoulder in the 2-1 Coppa Italia win over Lazio last week, the Giallorossi have confirmed.
The 28-year-old has struggled to make an impact since joining the club this summer, playing in only a handful of matches, and will now miss approximately another month of action.
"AS Roma SPA announce that yesterday afternoon Leite Ribeiro Adriano had an examination scheduled following the dislocation of his right shoulder during the TIM Cup match between AS Roma and SS Lazio," began a statement on the club's official website.
"In agreement with the club's orthopedic consultant, prof. Carlo Fabbriciani, the player submitted today to an arthroscopic reconstruction of the anterior glenoid by prof. Alex Castagna.
"In the coming days, the player will continue the therapeutic-rehabilitative path already established in accordance with the time of recovery previously drawn up."
