Moratti says no to Ganso, but yes to Matri.
Inter president Massimo Moratti has seemingly ruled out a move for Santos starlet Ganso and Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini, but insists that Cagliari hitman Alessandro Matri would be a possibility as the club attempt to bring in a forward during the winter transfer market.

"Inter are continuing to search for a striker," the club supremo was quoted as saying by Il Corriere dello Sport.

"The hypothesis of Pazzini is a good one, but I don't know if we can do it. Matri? That is also a good idea. Ganso? He definitely costs too much."

Moratti insisted that he will do his utmost to strengthen the squad, but made no promises, admitting both he and coach Leonardo have realistic expectations as to what can be accomplished before the end of the month.

"Leonardo has common sense when regarding moves in the transfer market. He is very active and alert in seeing what can be done to strengthen the team. I will try to respond positively to our needs," he concluded.
