Rumoured Liverpool Target Charlie Adam Brushes Off Transfer Talk To Focus On Blackpool

Scot finds it easy to ignore speculation.
Blackpool captain Charlie Adam has insisted he is having no problems concentrating on his football despite growing rumours concerning his future at the club.

Adam is a target for several Premier League clubs with Aston Villa, Birmingham and Liverpool all linked with a move for the 25-year-old in recent weeks.

Boss Ian Holloway last week criticised Villa's efforts to sign the midfielder, and made clear that the Scotland international would only leave Bloomfield Road for one of the big clubs.

But Adam remains focused on his football, telling reporters: "I am not here to speak about speculation. There is nothing I can say on it.

"Is it hard to concentrate on my game when clubs are putting bids in? No, it is easy.

"At the end of the day I am a footballer and I want to keep playing.

"If anyone has seen the performances I have had over the last month or so, then they will know the speculation has not derailed me."
