Sevilla winger Jesus Navas has warned Real Madrid that his team are still more than capable of progressing to the Copa del Rey final, despite losing 1-0 at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Wednesday evening.

A Karim Benzema goal proved enough to separate the sides, despite Luis Fabiano’s controversial first half effort seemingly crossing the goal-line.

Navas feels that there is still mileage left in the tie, and he told journalists: “It was a good match between two major teams, and the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu will be very interesting.

“We knew it would be a tough match, complicated, because we both like to attack, but this tie is over 180 minutes and it is not over yet. The goal by Luis Fabiano was difficult to see but we have to stay together with better teamwork, and we expect a very hard job in Madrid.

“The fans have been outstanding, they have, as always, created an atmosphere but our regret it that we could not make them happy.”
