USA Announces March Friendlies Against Argentina And Paraguay

The U.S. national team announced March friendlies on Thursday, with Argentina and Paraguay lined up as the opposition.

First, the USA will square off against Argentina on March 26 in East Rutherford, N.J. That match will kick off at 7pm EST in Meadowlands Stadium. Then, three days later, Paraguay will be the opponent in LP Field in Nashville at 8pm EST.

Argentina visited the United States as recently as 2008, when Giants Stadium witnessed a scoreless draw.

The USA last played Paraguay a year earlier, losing 3-1 in the Copa America.

"Argentina continues to be one of the most talented teams in the world, and we are excited to have the opportunity to compete against them," said U.S. head coach Bob Bradley. "When you talk about the best players around the globe, the Argentines certainly contribute a lot of names to that list.

"Paraguay showed during the World Cup that they are a creative and organized team capable of being very dangerous in the attack. Both of these matches give us a chance to continue to raise the bar for our team, and it will also be a great part of our preparation for the Gold Cup."

Bradley is currently with an inexperienced USA roster preparing for a January friendly against Chile.
