Juventus' Luca Toni: If We Beat Inter, We Can Finish Top Four

Juventus striker Luca Toni is on the march to raze Inter's Scudetto hopes in Sunday's derby d'Italia as he gets ready to strike.

Having scored against them with Palermo, Fiorentina and last season Roma, the giant hitman has underlined the importance a win could have for the Old Lady’s season, bringing with it the chance to reignite ambitions for a fourth place finish.

“It will be a fascinating game,” Toni declared to SkySport24.

“Certainly it is a very important encounter but I’m sure we will play on the same level as Inter, especially as we are coming off the back of a positive result.

“We are well aware of the importance of a positive result this evening in a game which could get us back on track for Champions League qualification.

“I don’t know if a win would turn our season around but it would certainly fill us with confidence for the coming weeks.

“A win against Inter would let us know what we are really worth. When you play against sides of their calibre the most important thing is not to concede.

“If you can achieve that and then maybe create something at the other end, who knows?

“We have been playing well recently and are ready to put in a important display.”

A win in this evening’s Derby d’Italia would lift the Bianconeri to within three points of fourth placed Inter.
