Manchester United in for Roma's Daniele De Rossi, according to English reports.
Manchester United are preparing a €40 million bid for Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi.
Goal.com Italia says reports in England claim United see De Rossi as the heir to Paul Scholes, and Sir Alex Ferguson wants to try to land him in June.
It will take a mega €40m, and the latest reports follow on from Monday's Real Madrid link.
However, De Rossi has, on previous occasions, maintained his allegiance with Roma.
He is seen at Trigoria as a leader, and 'capitan futuro' for life after Francesco Totti.
Roma's new American owners are also keen on establishing a top team capable of winning major titles, and thus they are unlikely to sell one of their prized assets.
