DFB President Theo Zwanziger Issues Matthias Sammer Ultimatum

Matthias Sammer will have to choose between Hamburg or Germany by Friday, says DFB president Theo Zwanziger.
Theo Zwanziger, president of the DFB, has issued an ultimatum to Matthias Sammer over the Germany sporting director's potential move to Hamburg.

"I want Matthias to make a clear statement on Friday," he told Kicker.

"We are not in a situation that the DFB can be uncertain at the position of sporting director."

Sammer has in recent days been closely linked with Hamburg, where he has allegedly been offered a hefty salary. Earlier today, Kicker reported that Sammer would earn €2.5 million, more than the sum of the previous board members (€1.8m).
