Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark has praised his side following their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the FA Cup fourth round at the Emirates.

Clark's side delivered a resilient performance against the Gunners and dominated for periods, despite being 45 places lower than Arsene Wenger's side in the league standings, and the former Newcastle man felt that his team gave a performance to be proud of.

He told reporters: "We put in an excellent performance, we passed the ball well and created chances. We limited them to few opportunites which is not easy coming here.

"The lads have worked extremely hard so if you put all that into context we are disappointed we didn't get something from the game. But we have to look to our league programme now which is really important for us.

"I'm hoping for the level of performance we showed today to come out in our league campaign. If we can play at that level, it will get us the wins we need."
