The Rome-based side currently sit in fourth position after their disastrous campaign last season, and Mauri says the Aquile want to climb even higher up the standings.
"Our fans need to give us a hand in reaching Europe," the 31-year-old told Tuttomercatoweb. "On our part, we have the will to win after two draws. We also want to climb higher up the table."
Mauri was involved in Italy's 1-1 draw against Germany in an international friendly on Wednesday evening.
The Monza-born player has made 22 league appearances this season, finding the back of the net on four occasions. Lazio take on Brescia this weekend.
